For the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) of Summer 2021, the LEC is putting its best foot forward with their new film teaser, directed by David Pagaille, the brand new director signed on by Passion Paris. With a deep understanding of LEC’s brand renewal and working hand in hand with the LEC team, David and Passion Paris created a 1’10’’-long teaser in the way of anime openings to introduce the 10 teams competing in the LEC Summer edition, using references like Gurren Lagann and Mob Psycho 100.
Rise of Kingdoms ‘The Vikings are here!’
The new trailer for the real-time strategy game, Rise of Kingdoms, introduces the warriors of the North, the Vikings. Bethesda and Rokkan wanted to create 3 prequels to the AAA videogame, Dishonored, to help promote the game prior to it’s launch. Each piece was meant to give a bit of backstory to the world of Dishonored, but Rokkan and Bethesda wanted to create a completely unique visual language for these shorts. Jon and his team took inspiration from Egon Schiele and many stark black and white illustrations for their look and embraced the hand crafted feel for the piece as a whole. In the end they generated around 3,000 unique frames in Photoshop in order to animate this piece.
