Job Overview:

The role of runner is an entry level position, with no experience required, although an interest in animation and some relevant technical skills is essential. You must be available to work some evenings and weekends. The role of runner is not full time, you can expect to work 2-3 shifts a week (approx. 30 hours). This role is ideally suited so someone looking for their first job in animation as it will give you an invaluable insight into how a busy, successful production company functions.

Job Outline:

  • Ensuring the office runs smoothly day-to-day
  • Supporting the COO, Head Runner and Receptionist in any ad hoc tasks throughout the day
  • Keeping the office and meeting rooms tidy and organised
  • Supplying refreshments for any client meetings
  • Making local deliveries and collections
  • Covering reception when needed
  • Holding keys and alarm codes to the company building as you will sometimes open up in the mornings and lock up at night
  • Assisting in research and development on projects where needed
  • Feed and take our office dogs for walks throughout the day

Job requirements:

  • An interest in animation/ CG/ visual/ design/ illustration/ documentaries, working knowledge of animation programs such as Maya would be excellent.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel, adobe products and willingness to learn
  • Willingness to learn about advertising and commercials production terminology
  • Knowledge of CG process/ techniques/ terminology an advantage
  • Good personal and phone manner
  • Willingness to learn the operation of the company telephone switchboard

Passion Pictures are looking for a highly professional, experienced Executive Assistant to take on the dual role of Personal Assistant to the Founder of Passion Pictures and Assistant to the Creative Director. The role is exacting and challenging but, for the right candidate, incredibly rewarding. You will be providing day-to-day comprehensive organisational and administrative support to two busy members of senior management and must be confident dealing with sensitive and confidential information and liaising with colleagues in all departments of the company.

The main duties of the Executive Assistant include but are not limited to:

  • Extensive personal and professional diary management including scheduling meetings and conference calls
  • Home maintenance and management
  • Organising travel including obtaining or updating visas, hotel bookings and preparing itineraries
  • Handling internal and external correspondence
  • Adapting to a constantly dynamic workflow and changing schedules

Candidate specification:

  • At least 4 years demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Able to efficiently prioritise workload
  • Excellent multitasker
  • Affinity with animals as the Founder has a dog

The main duties of the Team Assistant include but are not limited to:

  • Extensive professional diary management for the Creative Director
  • Diary management for Heads of Department, including scheduling meetings and conference calls both locally and internationally.
  • Organising travel including obtaining or updating visas, hotel bookings and preparing itineraries
  • Handling internal and external correspondence
  • Adapting to a constantly dynamic workflow and changing schedules
  • Organising events internally and externally (screenings, team away days etc)
  • Booking couriers & taxis
  • Arranging leaving/birthday/maternity gifts
  • Keeping up-to-date with the status of all current projects
  • Occasionally assisting with creating pitch/treatment documents

This role is full-time and will be based in our London studio 5 days per week

Studio

JOB OVERVIEW

The role would consist of internal coordination for projects, specifically Commercials. Seeing a project from start to finish, from concept art, to Coordination of the CG team, through to Delivery. The CG Coordinator will liaise closely with the project Producer, VFX Supervisor, Head of CG and the Artists.

REQUIRMENTS

A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role, Production company, Studio or Post house
Good understanding of CG, Animation, VFX workflows
A high level of organisational skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to multitask quickly and efficiently
Knowledge of scheduling software Shotgun would be an advantage

DUTIES

Work with Head of CG/ Studio Manager and Leads to schedule show and enforce delivery strategy
Attend scheduling meetings and provide daily information on delivery targets
Work with leads/artists to ensure targets are met and deadlines achieved
Chase outstanding elements as per Director/Supervisor/leads request
Work with editorial to ensure all relevant material for the show is correctly located
Generate playlists via Shotgun for daily internal reviews and bi-weekly CG Supervisor reviews
Record and issue feedback
Organise and set up bookings across all shows for internal reviews, CG Supervisor reviews, Director reviews and shot briefs
Conduct daily’s with Leads, taking notes and issuing internally to artists
Responsible for all notes, briefs, procedural changes to shots and committing all relevant data to relevant pages in Shotgun
Report any delays in correlation with the current schedule immediately, work with Producer to amend delivery schedule accordingly
This is a people-facing role and requires someone with the ability to balance and delegate tasks clearly and efficiently.

Passion Pictures are looking for a Production Coordinator to join an exciting new 2D series.

With world renowned animation talent, an Oscar Winning Feature Documentary team, experiential expertise, and a design driven sister-studio, Passion is uniquely positioned to create ground-breaking work for any medium.

START DATE: TBD – Position available from February.

DUTIES

  • Be a key contact for all crew, both in studio & at home, to offer support and to help guide the production.
  • Manage and track the workload of crew & HODs, outlining priorities, daily task & and to ensure targets are met.
  • Organize meetings and reviews.
  • Assist with managing deliveries and client feedback in a professional manor.
  • Distribute and track notes across departments, managing assignments and dependencies within Shotgrid.
  • Work closely with the Production team to report any schedule delays and aid in amending the schedule accordingly.
  • General day-to-day problem solving.

REQUIRMENTS

  • 2 years’ production experience required (Series favoured).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office essential.
  • Knowledge of 2D pipelines & shot tracking, ideally within Shotgird.
  • Highly organised, with excellent time management skills.
  • Able to prioritise and work to deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • An upbeat, positive personality which can motivate and drive the team.
  • Able to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment.
