Dave Scanlon directs ‘The Gift of Game’ for NBA’s Christmas Day campaign, produced by PASSION PICTURES with agency Translation. On the eve of Christmas, tiny NBA superstars come alive to compete in a 5 v 5 festive matchup. From LeBron James to Steph Curry, the NBA action figures are animated using a distinctive CG technique, carefully crafted by the PASSION studio to mimic stop-motion animation, resulting in a remarkable handcrafted aesthetic seamlessly integrated into the live action scene.  

Part of the Welcome to Walmart, Holiday Carts campaign, againstallodds have directed “Welcome to Grinch’s Walmart” produced by Passion Pictures with Publicis Groupe, Digitas and Fallon. The spot brings the iconic Dr Seuss character back to life in traditional 2D animation, painstakingly and authentically recreating the original style for a nostalgic take on a whole new story. We see the Grinch back to his old grump ways once again stealing Christmas. That is until the joy within the gifts themselves inspires him, with a little help from Walmart trucks, to return everything back to Whoville just in time for Christmas.

Directed by Kyra & Constantin, the adorable ‘Finn’ makes a heartwarming comeback in Migros’ newest Christmas ad, “Lets Make Dreams Come True”.  Produced by PASSION PICTURES and Stories AG in collaboration with agency, Wirz Group AH. In this charming sequel, Finn spots a young girl who dreams of owning a telescope and he’s determined to make her wish come true. He tries everything from changing the price tag to making one from scratch to make sure she takes home her dream gift. The magic of Finn’s world comes to life through the seamless blend of live action sequences, directed by Jake Scott and fluid CG characters and sets to beautifully craft Finn’s third enchanting story.

MegaComputeur directs ‘La Vida Es’ for Spanish nougat brand, Suchard, with agency, Hogarth Spain, produced by PASSION PICTURES. Inspired by the end line “Life is what happens between Christmases. Let’s never stop celebrating it” Megacomputeur skilfully captures the nuanced and emotional connections among family members through stylised CG animation. The film unfolds through a series of snapshots into a family’s life through generations and how they are brought together at important moments across the years.

Passion Pictures has produced a series of animated spots “Toxic Therapy” with Creative Director Andy Martin and Director Matt Partridge, for Truth Initiative’s truth campaign with agency Mojo Supermarket. Truth Initiative is a national public health organization dedicated to achieving a culture where all young people reject smoking, vaping and nicotine and a future where tobacco and nicotine addiction are a thing of the past. The important message is brought to life in 2D animation, in the familiar aesthetic of adult animation spiked with a serious issue. The spots quickly communicate that vaping and nicotine is harmful and your vape is a toxic friend cos-playing as a therapist.  

Alzheimer’s Research UK and agency, Above+Beyond, launches a heartbreaking animated film to envision the ‘happily ever afters’ that dementia has stolen. The spot features traditional hand-drawn animation directed by againstallodds produced by Passion Pictures, and a live action resolve directed by Tubby Brothers. This impactful film brings home the importance of Alzheimer Research UK’s mission to find a cure, and urges the British public to stand with them and support their revolutionary research. The campaign is the first under their new platform ‘For A Cure’.

Future Power Station directs On’s latest campaign, ‘Tri-Kings’, produced by PASSION Pictures. Ironman World Champion, Gustav Iden and Olympic Champion, Kristian Blummenfelt are transformed into the fearsome Viking warriors, “Kristian the Unstoppable” and “Gustav the Great”. Together, they embark on an epic animated adventure as they race against deities and mythical creatures. The 2D process was combined with 3D motion capture technology to push the project’s technical and creative boundaries, resulting in a spectacular film.

Lush Cosmetics joins forces with Feral Child to create an animated piece centred around the much-loved Christmas “Snow Fairy” brand and scent. The story follows Aki after a sweet scent sparks a journey through the snow-laden forests surrounding the town, eventually finding the Snow Fairy’s magical cottage.

Alzheimer’s disease can leave patients and their families feeling lost with their worlds turned upside down. The charity France Alzheimer work to make sure that those living with the disease know they always have somewhere to turn. Directed by Megacomputeur this CG short brings to life the charity’s symbol, the compass, and shows that wherever someone is, they can receive the help they need.

Mark Waring directs ‘The Gingerbread House’ for German banking group Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken, produced by PASSION Commercials with agency DDB Berlin. The PASSION Studio were able to add detailed textures and animate on every second frame to give a crafted, tactile look to the film, reflecting the homemade and highly decorated gingerbread house the family in the film build together.

Created by againstallodds, the film tells the story of Simon and his around-the-world adventure following in his father’s footsteps. Executed in a truly unique visual style developed to give the animation a textured, watercolour feeling. It was achieved starting matte paintings to create the environments whose lighting was then used to create the 3D space for the characters all finished with a distinct cell-shaded look.

For the second year in a row, againstallodds directs Barbour’s newest Christmas campaign ‘One of Kindness’ in collaboration with the lovable Paddington Bear, produced by PASSION Animation. Barbour’s festive film follows the adventures of Paddington as he comes up with an idea for a thoughtful gift for his sometimes grumpy neighbour, Mr Curry. Highlighting Paddington’s kindness and good intentions, it celebrates the joy of giving a very special sustainable present that means so much. The film introduces more characters and expands Paddington’s world in a beautifully hand painted in 2D animation. againstallodds stays true to the iconic Paddington look with painstaking efforts made to faithfully bring Peggy Fortnum’s signature style to life.

Feral Child teamed up with agency Jung Von Matt Donau and live action director Ross Cooper to direct this “roger rabbit” inspired spot for the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Protection.

Animated in stop-motion by director Tom O’Meara, the film is brought to life entirely in camera and painstakingly animated by hand, one frame at a time. The animation is rich with playful detail, with miniature models juxtaposed with life-size props mirroring the voiceover. The train featured in the commercial is a perfect scale replica of its real world counterpart. The level of craft employed by Tom results in a rewardingly tactile film, reflecting the care and attention in transforming the Transpennine Main Line.

Marvin the Mole returns in I Strike It, the second campaign directed by againstallodds, produced by Passion Pictures for leading UK opticians, Vision Express with agency Leo Burnett. In the film, Marvin meets optician Vikita, who represents the warm, friendly professionalism Vision Express opticians deliver. Animated in beautiful CG, the characters are a unique blend of photoreal and stylisation, with rich textures and charming performances communicating the service and value of Vision Express.

Kyra and Constantin spreads the message of joy through a magical CG spot for Toyota, with agency Conill. ‘Nora’s Joy’ is the story of a young woman who finds the ability to share her joy in a very extraordinary way. Once she unleashes her emotions, we see her driving her Toyota Tacoma around town, spreading the joy with those around her in a flurry of bright lights lighting up the night sky.

For the fourth year in a row, Passion teams up with agency Jung Von Matt DONAU, to create a touching Christmas film for Erste Group. This year, Mark Waring directs a CG stop motion style story about how a father-to-be is moved to act sustainably for his unborn child’s future. The ad addresses climate change and how even a small act can make a big difference in creating a better future for all: #BelieveTomorrow!

Leading heritage and lifestyle brand, Barbour has collaborated for the first time with the much-loved children’s character Paddington Bear for this year’s seasonal campaign, produced by Passion with directors againstallodds. Bringing Paddington to life in animation for the first time ever in Peggy Fortnum’s original style, againstallodds have created an emotive, fun and heart warming film which follows the mishaps and adventures of Paddington Bear as he comes up with an idea for a thoughtful gift.

Meet Marvin, a discerning guy with a great eye for marvellous deals on glasses. Along with his family, Marvin is the star of a new campaign for leading UK opticians, Vision Express with agency Leo Burnett. Created by againstallodds, the whole family are full of charm, good humour and most importantly (even though they’re moles), they’re just like us. Brought to life in stunning CG, the characters are a seamless blend of photo-real animation and stylisation, to make a family of moles who look at perfectly at home walking the Great British high street.

Passion Paris directors Jack Antoine Charlot and Valere Amirault produce an exciting 3D music video for Free Fire’s new ‘Max’ collection. ‘To the Max’ uses impressive 3D motion capture technology to produce authentic and realistic performances from the rappers, creating an enthralling experience close to what can be seen in current rap music videos.

Directing duo againstallodds and agency Wieden+Kennedy Portland, create a nostalgic 3D film for Fisher Price’s ‘Lets Be Kids Together’ campaign. The spot features childhood toy icons, such as, Thomas The Tank Engine, Chatter Telephone, Bubble Mower and more.    

Anna Mantzaris directs a funny and important stop motion piece for Global Women New Zealand, in time for International Women’s Day 2021. Anna uses her signature style with humour and imperfect characters, to raise awareness of the “Motherhood Penalty” that significantly impacts women in the workplace in New Zealand. The short shows there is almost nothing a woman can do in the workplace that is more career-limiting than having a baby.

Dave Scanlon directs a new spot for Pizza Hut’s Beyond Meat pizza, where Patterson is accompanied by an incredible (hungry) CGI lion for lunch!  

Feral Child joins Lush once again to envision an original Halloween story with a mischievous character for the popular “Lord of Misrule” product range. Working closely with the Lush team, they crafted the idea of this unruly character being an embodiment of misrule that stems from creativity rather than destruction.

Eyes on this juicy and refreshing project – the outcome of an extensive and significant collaboration between Ditroit, Beeta and Grey NYC for Pantene by P&G.The aim of the film was to romance the pure and natural ingredients, blended into the diverse formulas of this product collection: from rose water to jojoba, from bamboo to castor oil and biotin, each one with a clear personality and with precise beneficial features. Our challenge was to shape the world around each ingredient, picturing a brand new colorful journey, carefully condensed into a TVC.

Tom O’meara directs ‘Endless Road’ to showcase Hermes Paris’ new leather goods range with a fluid stop motion sequence starting within a beautifully constructed hotel room with a stitched patch work view, which is slowly revealed to be the line of bags designed and produced by Hermés.

Tom worked With David Attenborough and Stephen Fry to bring back The Wind in the Willows, highlighting loss of habitats for The Wildlife Trusts. The animated trailer racked up a social reach of 17 million and charmed the press with 195 pieces of coverage, from BBC Radio 4 to the Mirror and ITV news.  

Roald and Beatrix: The Tail of the Curious Mouse is Sky One’s latest original, inspired by a true story about Roald Dahl and Beatrix Potter. Starring Dawn French, Rob Brydon, Jessica Hynes, Alison Steadman, Nick Mohammed, Nina Sosanya, and Bill Bailey. Introducing Harry Tayler. Directed by David Kerr and produced by Elaine Cameron. First broadcast on Sky, Christmas Eve 2020. The Tail of the Curious Mouse is officially the biggest rating show of the Christmas period ever for Sky, with a seven-day cumulative audience of 3.12million.

One of the most popular and influential British artists of the twentieth century returns to Tate Britain for his most comprehensive exhibition yet. An integrated online campaign including a 45 second film, 6 looping instagram posts and a snapchat filter. ‘Hockney at Tate Britain’ had 2.5 million hits within 24 hours making it Tate’s most viewed advert ever.

A stunning anime-inspired film for wagamama, bringing Japanese style to London streets. The film brings together a broad range of modern, diverse references and characters, with each frame existing as a unique illustration inspired by anime art. Aiming to embody the idea of ‘kaizen’, Director Mads Broni has taken inspiration from his love of anime and transformed it into something new and unique for wagamama.The ad illustrates wagamama’s soul feeding philosophy with delicious looking food leaving you inspired by the feeling you get when you eat it…not just the food itself. 

With animation directed by Andy Martin, Passion Animation Studios created unique original animated characters to fill a mixed media world for Progressive. Capturing a retro animation style the cute characters bring a familiar fairytale feeling that takes a turn for the worse…Traditional 2D cell animation was created frame by frame before being blended seamlessly with live action footage creating a nostalgic look reminiscent of golden era animations.

Ditroit creates an impressive CGI commercial for Kit Kat Thins. Their extensive research and development in texture and colours reflects the detailed realism within the wafer, exploding crumbs and crashing chocolate shells. Ditroit’s approaches involved 3D laser scanning to photogrammetry, all in efforts to capture the specific details and complexities of an iconic Kit Kat bar, captured in a minimal setting.

Directed by Kyra & Constantin, Edgar’s Christmas is the third year the duo have created a moving Christmas film for Erste Group. In the pandemic year, isolation and the stories of the elderly have been close to our hearts. The character of Edgar that Krya & Constantin have created proves that looks can be deceiving. We’ve all got a story worth telling and thanks to Marie’s kindness and persistence, Edgar reconnects to his passions and his past. The film is set to a score by Mcasso Music.

For the second year in a row, againstallodds have directed the Christmas #ReindeerReady film for Mcdonald’s in the UK. The heartwarming CG animated film follows Tom…a teenager reluctantly taking part in Christmas traditions with his mum when he’d rather be gaming. All of that changes when they stop to pick up some Reindeer Treats (or carrots as they’re otherwise known)

For Starbucks’ annual release of their iconic Red Cups, Andy Martin collaborated with illustrator Alice Wietzel to launch the festive season. The film shows people carrying their Red Cup drinks and spreading the merry glow as they go.

This heartwarming story shows Againstallodds spreading the Christmas joy with familiar Very-pink presents. They developed the characters from concept art, through storyboards, creating the rigs eventually bringing them to life as seen on screen. “The big difference between animation and live action is that in animation everything needs to be created. That means that every little thing that ends up on the screen down to the nails in the floorboards has to be decided upon and carefully placed to create the final image”. Againstallodds.

Dave Scanlon directs an action-packed 3D trailer for Free Fire’s ‘Chrono’. This fast-paced trailer reimagines football player, Cristiano Ronaldo, as an unstoppable solider caught in an intense fight sequence.

This iconic BRAVIA advert was made using stop frame animation. Over a period of three weeks, 40 animators were responsible for 189 2ft bunnies, 150 1ft cubes, a 30ft giant rabbit and a 10ft x 20ft purple wave – all made from 2.5 tonnes of plasticine. Never before had so many animators worked together on the same scene.

Directed by Mark Waring, the charming stop motion animation tells the story of two neighbouring, but divided villages. They accidentally chance upon each other’s egg and rice trade, and to their surprise, discover the celebrated and much-loved egg fried rice dish.

A cinematic trailer for Volition’s ‘Agents of Mayhem’, taking us on an action-packed ride through the heart of Seoul where the agents live up to their name by causing raw, disruptive mayhem. Arnaud & Jerome had worked together on several gaming titles before this, depicting epic, vibrant worlds, using 3D techniques but maintaining a unique 2D aesthetic.

This is a PSA for AIDES, a French non-profit organisation. Aside from the black & white, it owes its vintage look to the film scratches and character designs borrowed from the 1920s and 1930s ‘silent-age of animation’.

The Anchor Butter December campaign came as a light-hearted, and painfully apt, look at a real family Christmas. Here, a happy scene was quickly unsettled by little Alfred’s adoration of the most annoying toy, thanks to Grandma.

Kevin Manach creates a 2D textbook style animation for AXA Health. Kevin uses his distinct style of bold line work, with the blend of vibrant colours and minimalistic design.

This clever revival of the 1930s-era Popeye cartoon stars several of its classic characters including Bluto, Olive Oyl, Popeye himself and J. Wellington Wimpy, who demonstrates the functionality of Bank of America’s mobile banking app by ‘gladly’ paying his debts via his mobile phone.

The much loved comic has teamed up with Tim Hope unveiling a new look, kicking off with a snappy add that explains what is, or isn’t, “So Beano!”.

After two hugely successful animated films, “Back to the start” in 2012 and “The Scarecrow” in 2013 — Chipotle and CAA teamed up with Passion to create “A Love Story”, an ambitious animated short directed by Passion Pictures’ Saschka Unseld. The film was a huge undertaking of over 8 months at Passion Pictures’ animation studios in London. It comprised a huge crew to bring its story to life. Saschka commented; ‘I wanted to create something that visually felt unique and different to most of the other stuff that’s out there. This had 2 sides – the first was to really be true to original designs in CG – because so often the final result is nowhere near the beauty of an original design. The second thing was to be bold with our light, colour and shading.’

‘Tale of Contour’ is an epic tale about the creation of the Coca-Cola bottle, as narrated by a big brother to his younger sibling. The bottle travels through distant lands and curious settings, obtaining its unique features – the iconic curves, flutes and red ribbon. The spot celebrates the 100th anniversary of arguably the most recognizable package design of all time.

Russell Brooke directs this animation so we see the funny side of the cannibalistic tendencies the crunchy food personalities have – when they know they taste so good.

The Fanta gang are bursting onto social media and Andy Martin has given them a new modern style. Feeling like episodes of an Adult Swim cartoon, this series of commercials takes the existing crew of Fanta characters and puts them in the middle of modern teenage issues, throwing them a few surreal curveballs for good measure. Traditionally illustrated and animated 2D elements blend seamlessly with specially developed CG effect to create a brand new world for the Fanta characters to explore.

Ivyy Chen directs a brand new music video for Taiwanese folk music group, Four Mens for their track, ‘MYMY’, animated in Ivyy’s signature warm and comforting colours.

Timekeepers provide a closer look at the story behind Chrono. The duo takes Chrono’s abilities to the next level with their rich expertise in fluid CG realism. In this action-packed trailer, Timekeepers reimagine football player, Cristiano Ronaldo, as an unstoppable solider ready to take down anyone in his way.

Directed by Jon Saunders, the trailer for Cobra for Free Fire, the battle royale mobile game, has a brand new look for games trailers. the 2D anime-inspired 3D trailer is kinetic and action-packed giving a glimpse into the power that the Legendary Cobra Bundle will bring.

Mads Broni concludes the climatic ‘Sori and Dua’ story from the first instalment of the Free Fire Continental Series. Mads brings a dynamic blend of animation with a 2D anime style design, accompanied with an effective CG look to give limitless expression and creative movement to the characters.

Andy Martin was approached by Google Creative Lab and Anyways to create one of a series of films promoting Google’s new Pixel 2 phone. Andy was one of 9 animators to be given real recordings of iPhone users using Pixel 2. Andy chose to combine claymation & 2d animation to bring the pauses and humour to life with Charlie & Regan.

As part of Passion’s long standing collaboration with the Gorillaz, we were asked to create their rst live performance. Using Musion Technology, we brought the band to life, having them perform alongside Madona at the Emmys.

‘Do Ya Thing’ was commissioned by Converse as a part of their ‘Three Artists. One Song’ project where three artists would collaborate on a track. The music video fuses the animated world of Gorillaz with real life footage.

Clint Eastwood was the first single to be released on Gorillaz’ debut album in 2001 and was the Rolling Stone magazine ranked it as number 38 on its list of 100 best songs of the 2000s. This release marked the start of Gorillaz’ extraordinary impact on popular culture and public consciousness, and although co-creators Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn originally viewed the virtual band as a one-time statement against the banality of the pop music being mass produced for MTV coverage – the heart and soul of these four fictional band members struck a note with a public looking for that same authenticity – and they soon demanded more.

This film playfully depicts what happened to the cartoon Gorillaz while the real life “warm up band” usurped the stage from them.

El Manana was the last single to be released from the band’s second album Demon Days, and appeared to show a harrowing attack on Noodle and her potential demise as the floating island is gunned from the sky by sinister helicopters. A few weeks prior to the release a series of events had been taking place on the band’s website, Kong Studios, and the fans were already in an uproar of speculation – Noodle had packed up her belongings, her room was empty and cracks were starting to show – was she leaving the band?

This is the lead single from Gorillaz’ album Demon Days, and is also Gorillaz’ most successful single to date, surpassing ‘Clint Eastwood’. In this music video, the integration of computer-generated imagery with two-dimensional animation is more seamless than in previous Gorillaz videos, creating a more textured, layered effect.

“On Melancholy Hill” is the third single from British virtual band Gorillaz’ third studio album, Plastic Beach. Jamie Hewlett and Pete Candeland take us on an undersea adventure which encapsulates band member Murdoc Niccals’s statement that “The Melancholy Hill – is that feeling, that place, that you get in your soul sometimes, like someone’s let your tyres down. It’s nice to break up the album with something a little lighter. It’s good to have something that’s a genuine pop moment on every album. And this is one of those.”

Passion Animation Studios London and Gorillaz continue their groundbreaking partnership in collaboration with Google Spotlight Stories, for the release of an epic six-minute Jamie Hewlett-directed animated film. It features four tracks from the band’s album Humanz – ‘Saturnz Barz’ in full, plus highlights of ‘Ascension’, ‘Andromeda’ and ‘We Got The Power’ . The film – ‘Saturnz Barz (Spirit House)’, supported by YouTube – also affords an extraordinary cutting-edge VR video (360-3D).

Stylo was the first video from Gorillaz third album Plastic Beach – the song features guest vocals from Bobby Womack and Mos Def. This time the band are being hotly pursued across a Californian desert by a ruthless bounty hunter played by Bruce Willis. Their classic Camaro is riddled with bullets and when the road runs out they take off over a cliff edge, ending up in the ocean below, where the car transforms into a submersible and finally makes good their escape. The video was Grammy nominated at the 53rd Grammy Awards.

Greenpeace brings the rampant destruction of rainforest habitat in Indonesia to grow palm oil into the spotlight. The film is narrated by Emma Thompson, focusing on the story of a young orangutan called Rang-tan. The scenes are designed and animated using various techniques including 3D and VR to bring to life the hand drawn animation in a flow of action and immersive camera moves.

Ultimately, she finds a way to give the ‘Power of Giants’ to Pete, giving them both more time to focus on the things they love.

Kyra and Constantin have crafted a beautiful story for Chinese retailer JD.com. Kyra and Constantin developed the existing character of Joy, the brand’s logo, into an adorable tale of a dog, a heron and a can of worms. A co-production between Passion London and Melbourne the film is a simple story with no dialogue. Told through characterisation and animation the film makes use of facial expressions and nuanced gestures to bring the story to life. The heartwarming film tells the tale in a way only animation can, with engaging characters and stunning scenery, simple but epic.

Passion Animation Studio directors againstallodds have created a moving film about the relationship between a young man and his dog with AMV BBDO for James Wellbeloved called ‘Mega City’. Agasintallodds, have brought the story to life with stunning use of CGI animation, working hard to find the exact look and feel for the film. A particular challenge was bringing the character of the dog to life, bridging the gap between an anthropomorphic character and a realistic, believable animal. The finished piece is a beautifully rendered, emotional animation capturing the spirit of the relationship between people and their pets.

Tim has directed a new spot for Britvic J₂O featuring a brand new character, Mojo. Tim brings his considerable comedic talents to the commercial in which we see Mojo giving a motivational speech to a hapless barbecue host, encouraging him to dream big and master the grill with the help of J₂O’s vibrant flavours.

Jimmy Kiddell directed this rowdy Christmas party spot for German retailer MediaMarkt. Featuring an out-of-control crowd of mischievous garden gnomes, the party gets out of hand. Each creature and character was crafted wholly in CG with their own personality and backstory.

2D characters find life against the momentous backdrop of the Metlife stadium in this ad for the 2014 Super Bowl, one of the US’s biggest sporting events.

The second co-production between Passion and Stories for Swiss supermarket Migros. It features the return of the character Finn and shows his search for his long lost parents. Seamlessly blending live action with memorable CGI characters, animation directors Kyra & Constantin teamed up with live action directors Dorian Lebhertz and Daniel Titz to create Finn’s second story.

A co-production between Passion and Stories, this Christmas film for Swiss supermarket Migros is a heartwarming tale that captures the real spirit of Christmas, friendship. A mix of live action and CG animation, the film has been co-directed by StrangeLove’s Ben Liam Jones and Passion’s Kyra & Constanin.

Directed by Tom Kuntz, Mark Waring was the Animation director on this larger than life musical spot for MoneySuperMarket. The camp and fabulous film sees original authentic Action Men, each with their own look, dancing in formation and feeling epic.

The brand launched a series of short videos that envision what happens to emojis when a smartphone breaks, and it continued the campaign on Twitter. People could submit their phone-shattering stories by tweeting using the hashtag #ShatteredStories. In exchange, Kyra and Constantin created real-time custom responses from “animation war rooms” staffed with two Moto clients, 11 VML employees and nine of Passion’s animators and puppeteers.

As part of Nike’s ‘Risk Everything’ campaign, which encompassed the viral, global film ‘The Last Game’, Dave Scanlon directed this promo film which shows Cristiano Ronaldo taking a free-kick from outside the stadium, and scoring.

This marked part three of Nike Football’s #riskeverything campaign. The film – “The Last Game” – is a five-minute animated feature starring some of the world’s greatest footballers on a mission to save football from the hands of a villainous mastermind, The Scientist. The film took over seven months to complete, involving over 300 people from all parties, including 101 artists and 25 animators, and went viral worldwide.

M&C Saatchi commissioned Tulips and Chimneys to bring the world of the Ribena Blackberries to life. To capture the English countryside, Tulips and Chimneys constructed a series of miniature sets full of natural and organic elements. The CG animated berries were then composited into the scenes.

The Curse of the Sad Mummy tells the story of Amumu, a fictional computer game character from League of Legends. A melange of animation techniques combine to bring environments from the popular game to life, giving us an insight into lonely Amumu’s interior world.

The new trailer for the real-time strategy game, Rise of Kingdoms, introduces the warriors of the North, the Vikings. Directed by againstallodds, the film features the Viking leader, Ragnar, giving an epic speech preparing for war, readying his sword and stepping out to face his army while snow swirls around. Realised in stylised CG animation, the film uses the established characters and designs from the game and brings them into an epic cinematic short.

Produced by Passion Animation Studios, the directing duo Kyra & Constantin return again with their much-loved ‘inflated’ animals as part of their new Rollin’ Wild series of shorts. The new entertaining series of animals feature in France, from a French bulldog in a local park to a cat and mouse chase in a farmhouse.

The spot tells of the tale of Anna, who is determined to deliver a present to Santa. Accompanied by her toy wolf, Anna sets off on an epic journey across a snowy landscape using cinematic CG, characteristic of againstallodds.

Directed by Kyra & Constantin, ‘#HannaBumblee’ sees the return of fuzzy, cute characters at Christmas for Erste Group. In a world where bumblebees have forgotten how to fly, the tactile animated story shows that the only thing you need to rekindle a hidden ability is a little bit of friendship. Meet Hanna the Bumblebee as she makes multiple attempts to learn to fly…without success. She almost gives up until her friend Max shares some self-belief at Christmas which suddenly makes all the difference. The film is set to a specially written and recorded lyrical track by Mcasso Music.

Directed by Kyra & Constantin ‘First Christmas’ is a love story told in beautiful animation with woodland characters spreading the message. We follow Henry the Hedgehog as he starts at a new school. His spikes make it hard for him to fit in but luckily he has a friend, Squirrel, looking out for him. The CGI animation has been given a truly unique tactile and fuzzy feel with Kyra & Constantin telling the story of love through the adorable characters. The film is set to a specially written and recorded lyrical track by Mcasso Music.

In the lead up to the United Climate Change Conference 2021, WaterAid teams up with Strange Beast and Don’t Panic, to create three relevant films to highlight the effect climate change has on people’s access to clean water. ‘Drought’, ‘Flood’ and ‘Natural Disaster’ are directed by Ivyy Chen with animations by Kyle Platts in ‘Flood’ and Greenhouse director, Daniel Stankler in ‘Natural Disaster’.
