Kajika Aki Ferrazzini was born in 1993 in Paris. After earning a degree in Arts and Design from the École Estienne in 2016, Kajika began a Master’s program in Animation Film Design and Direction (CRFA) at Gobelins School, which she left in 2017 to focus on her first short film, MOM.
Produced solo over the course of a year, MOM won the Best Film Award at the Tbilisi International Animation Festival (Georgia, 2021), received a Special Mention at the Future Film Festival (Italy, 2021), and at Anima – Best of Shorts 2022 (Belgium), and was part of the official selection at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2021. While her studies initially led her toward illustration and digital animation, in 2019 and 2020 she dedicated her artistic practice to ink drawing and watercolor on paper.
